Booking & Flowers
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend enquiring as soon as your date and venue are confirmed. Peak wedding and event dates can book well in advance.
How do I secure my date?
Once you're happy to move forward, your date is secured with your booking fee and confirmation of your booking.
Do I need to know exactly what flowers I want?
Not at all! A colour palette, a few inspiration images and an idea of the overall feeling you'd like to create is plenty. We'll help with the flowers from there.
Can you guarantee specific flowers?
We work with seasonal flowers, so exact varieties can never be guaranteed. If something isn't available, we'll select a beautiful alternative while staying true to your agreed colour palette and overall style.
Can you work within my budget?
Absolutely. Sharing your ideal floral investment helps us recommend where to allocate your flowers for the most impact.
Do you offer wedding party flowers as well as venue flowers?
Yes. We can create bouquets, buttonholes and other personal flowers alongside ceremony, reception and statement floral designs.
Weddings & Events
Is there a minimum floral spend?
Minimum spends may apply depending on the date, location and requirements of your celebration. We’ll always discuss this with you before preparing your proposal.
Do you travel outside Melbourne?
Yes! Bumi Flower Studio is Melbourne based and available for weddings and events throughout Victoria. Travel and delivery fees are calculated according to location and logistics.
Can you repurpose our ceremony flowers at the reception?
Where possible, yes. We love designing with repurposing in mind and can recommend which arrangements can realistically be moved and restyled on the day.
Do you offer custom floral designs?
Yes. Every wedding and event is designed individually around your colour palette, venue, season and overall vision.
Hire & Styling
Who can hire from the collection?
Our Hire Collection is available exclusively to clients booking flowers with Bumi Flower Studio, allowing us to create a beautifully cohesive floral and styling direction.
What can I hire?
Our collection includes candle styling, table runners, table numbers, plinths, easels, vessels and other carefully selected styling pieces.
What colours and styles are available?
Our collection focuses on timeless, modern tones including ivory, beige, sage, clear, frosted, mirror, silver, white and black, with different pieces available depending on your styling direction.
Can you help style everything together?
Yes! That's one of the reasons we created our Hire Collection. We can recommend pieces that work beautifully with your flowers, venue and colour palette.
Do you set up and collect the hire items?
Setup, styling and collection can be included depending on your booking and venue requirements. We'll outline this clearly in your proposal.
Flower Bar
What is the Bumi Flower Bar?
Our Flower Bar gives your flowers another life by transforming selected blooms from your celebration into beautiful little floral gifts for your guests.
Which flowers can be repurposed?
Depending on their condition and design, we can use flowers from bud vases, table arrangements and selected ceremony flowers.
How are the flowers presented?
Flowers are simply wrapped in clear cello, finished with ribbon and presented beautifully for guests to take home.
Can we personalise them?
Yes. Custom gift tags featuring your names and wedding date can be added for an extra personal touch.
When does the Flower Bar happen?
We'll work with you and your venue to determine the best time to repurpose your flowers without interfering with your celebration.
Delivery, Setup & Pack Down
Do you deliver our flowers?
Yes. Delivery can be arranged for personal flowers, ceremony flowers, reception flowers and styling pieces depending on your booking.
Do you set everything up?
Yes. For weddings and events requiring installation, we'll take care of setting up your flowers and Bumi hire pieces so everything is ready before your guests arrive.
Do you return after the event?
If your booking includes hired pieces or installations requiring collection, we'll arrange bump-out with your venue.
What is a setup or styling fee?
This covers the time and labour involved in delivering, installing and styling your flowers and hire pieces. The fee varies depending on your venue, access, setup requirements and overall design.
Can we pick up our flowers instead?
For smaller orders, collection may be available from Bumi Flower Studio by prior arrangement. Larger installations and hire bookings generally require delivery and setup.
