Meet Renée
Florist, flower lover & the hands behind Bumi.

Hi, I’m Renée — the florist and creative behind Bumi Flower Studio.

My journey into floristry actually began before Bumi. I was working for a company creating floral arrangements using artificial flowers, and it was there that I realised just how much I loved floral design and wanted to take it further.

That experience led me to study floristry at Melbourne Polytechnic in 2022, where I developed my skills working with fresh flowers and began shaping the style that has become such a big part of Bumi today.

Since then, Bumi has continued to grow and evolve alongside me. My style is modern, textural, romantic and full of personality, with a love for seasonal flowers, interesting details and designs that feel a little unexpected.

Whether I’m creating wedding and event florals or one of my botanical pieces, I want everything I make to feel considered and personal. I love getting to know my couples and creating flowers that feel like them, rather than following a formula.

Outside of Bumi, I’m stepping into a pretty special new chapter too. My partner Mack and I are about to welcome our little girl, so life is about to become a beautiful mix of flowers, business and motherhood — usually with our beloved cat Sawyer somewhere close by.

I’m happiest creating, spending time with my little family or dreaming up whatever Bumi is going to do next.

Bumi has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of, and I feel very lucky to create for people during some of the most meaningful moments of their lives.
